Roof Replacement

Project Overview

This comprehensive project in Burbank involved a full roof replacement and a detailed patio restoration. The work combined modern roofing technologies with structural upgrades to improve functionality, durability, and energy efficiency.

Scope of Work

• Shingle Roof Replacement: Removed the existing single-layered shingle roof. Installed a CertainTeed Moire Black Cool Roof to enhance heat reflectivity and provide a sleek, modern appearance.
• Flat Roof Replacement: Replaced a small section of flat roof between two gables with a torch down modified bitumen cool white roof for energy efficiency and weather resistance.
• HVAC Work: Removed and reinstalled the air conditioner to facilitate roof removal beneath its mount. Installed a code-compliant condensation line that directs water runoff into the gutter system. Performed a thorough cleanup and tune-up of the air conditioning unit for optimal performance.
• Patio Cover Restoration: Transformed the open lattice patio cover into a solid sheathed tongue-and-groove decking.  Applied a torch down roof over the decking for waterproofing and protection from the elements. Restored the remaining patio structure with patch framing and fresh paint for a like-new appearance.
• Color Selection: Used CertainTeed Moire Black shingles for the roof, ensuring a cohesive and polished look throughout the project.
