The Malibu Plaza restoration project focused on protecting and enhancing the building’s structural and aesthetic integrity through detailed roofing, weatherproofing, and siding repairs. Special attention was given to preserving the unique architectural features, including the custom gable skylight and clock tower, while ensuring modern durability and functionality.

Scope of Work:

• Custom Gable Skylight Weatherproofing: Weather-sealed and weather-stripped the custom gable skylight to prevent water intrusion and ensure long-term performance.
• Tile Relay: Replaced and realigned tiles on the mounting plane of the skylight. Conducted a tile relay on the clock tower to maintain structural integrity and visual continuity.
• Clock Tower Weatherproofing: Applied weatherstripping and resealed the clock to protect it from environmental elements.
• Window treatments: Resealed windows on the clock tower for added water resistance and improved insulation.
• Coping Clay Tile Replacement: Replaced and resealed coping clay tiles to ensure durability and maintain the architectural aesthetic
• Flat Roof Tune-Up: Performed a tune-up of the flat roof at the rear of the building to address minor repairs and extend its lifespan.
• Wall Siding Repairs: Repaired damaged wall siding at the rear of the building to restore its appearance.
