Metal, Shingle, & Flat Roof Installation

This Malibu roofing project involved a complete transformation of a complex, multi-faceted roof system along with adjacent exterior components to improve durability, energy efficiency, and overall aesthetics. The scope of work was completed in full compliance with local building codes and incorporated cool roofing materials designed for long-term performance in coastal conditions.

Project Scope of Work

Flat Roof Replacement – Torch Down Cool Roof

Removed approximately 1,000 square feet of existing double-layer flat roofing and installed a durable, energy-efficient torch down cool roof system. Portions of the flat roof were re-sloped to correct ponding issues and ensure proper water drainage, improving performance and extending the roof’s lifespan.

Sloped Roof Replacement – Shingle & Standing Seam Metal

Replaced approximately 3,000 square feet of sloped Cal Shake tile roofing with CertainTeed Moiré Black Shingle Cool Roof, enhancing energy efficiency and providing a clean, modern appearance.On the remaining sloped roof areas, we installed a Standing Seam Metal Cool Roof in Graphite Black, delivering superior durability, weather resistance, and a seamless architectural finish that complements the home’s design.

Chimney Facelift & Water Diversion

Fabricated and installed a custom 20-foot chimney cricket to effectively divert water away from the chimney structure. Added a coping cap and chimney shadow to enhance protection against moisture intrusion while improving the chimney’s visual appeal.

Waterproofing & Exterior Sealing

Sealed and waterproofed wall siding and window transitions adjacent to the flat roof, addressing potential points of water intrusion and reinforcing the building envelope for long-term protection.

Custom Roof Ventilation

Designed and installed a custom roof ventilation system specifically tailored to integrate with the standing seam metal roof. This ensured proper airflow while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic and optimal roof performance.
